darling was my tour guide for the afternoon.
we went from one monument to the next along the river/esplanade/city hall area.
i truly salute darling for knowing real well about all these monuments.
it was a somewhat enriching and even somber experience for me.
i was amazed and felt a little sense of patriotism for our nation at the same time.
it made me real intrigued about singapore's history.
at the end of the day, i realised that singaporeans have changed.
we have become more complacent and we tend to take our peace, modernity and safety for granted.
we are so different from the people in the past who would readily stand up for and protect the nation without asking for anything in return.
i truly salute and respect these individuals for their contributions to our singapore today.

darling's tp test day.
around 0830.
i asked him how he did and this is the reply i got: 19...fail!
that's truly unbelievable cos i know how well my darling drives.
i'm sure my close friends are confused as to why he's taking another tp test when he already had one last time right?
ask me in person, ok? ;)
so, friday, saturday and sunday passed.

the monday.
we met for dinner at pizza hut marina square.
meeting time was 1930.
i reached there around 1940.
since i reached there before darling, i decided to get a seat first.
waited for almost 30 minutes.
i had a feeling the people there thought i was going to be stood up by my date till a waiter even offered me a cup of iced water.
nyehehe.
i was practically chuckling silently in my heart.
anyway, darling's excuse for being late, a real complicated story that didn't make sense.
"the train's packed. i'm at tanjong pagar waiting to get in but too many people since just now."
ok. maybe not his exact words but i accepted it.
after dinner, darling brought me to the carpark.
"lets walk to the other escalator."
i was like "hmm? wokay."
haha.
as we walked, i saw a black toyota rush weekend car.
i know how darling's/his dad's car looks like.
i was on the verge of teasing darling even: a yo, darling! your parents are here in marina square... aaaa yo!
i was under the impression that that was some stranger's car cos i see so many black toyota rush on the road nowadays.
but before i could react, darling said: " nak masuk?"
i was like: "no! this is not your car!"
to double confirm i made my way to the back of the car to see if the "all blacks" decal is on the spare wheel.
that decal is darling's car's trademark, hehe.
that's how i identify it.
and guess what??!
it was right there on that very car!
so it was confirmed his car lah!
hehe.
i was so excited that i ran to the passenger's door and knocked on it to indicate to darling to unlock it.
it was so cool!
hehehe.
sorry.
can't control the excitement.
what's more cool is that darling sent me home instead of the usual me sending him back!
hehe.
i was so bursting with excitement that i had to tell someone when i got home.
sis was asleep so i couldn't tell her.
so i end up calling harvin and gushing to her all the excitement i felt.
hehehe.
